Mark David Manders - Highs and Lows

Original Release Date: October 15, 2002
Mark explains his writing process for “Highs and Lows”
“Most of the songs on this CD were written within three months of the first studio recording date. I had a lot of things bouncing around inside my head and when they finally came out it was rather sudden. That three-month period was also a very trying time for me personally. I was struggling with some deep emotional questions that I guess hit some men as they approach their fortieth birthday.”
“I chose the name, “Highs and Lows” because the mood of this project is very bipolar. I wanted to make a CD that reflected my emotional condition at this point in my life, a time capsule that showed both the good and bad days. If I were to write a mission statement for this project, it would be that I want to show that I am afraid of nothing and at the same time afraid of everything.”
